Your Life Isn’t Falling Apart… You’re Actually Growing

That ache in your chest, the cracks you are trying to hold together, the feeling that everything is unraveling…it may be proof that you’re ready for a breakthrough.

💥 It starts with that quiet cracking sound… 💥

You know the feeling...

That uneasy tension like something’s giving away under the surface of your life...

You can’t quite explain it, but you feel it:

  • Your routines aren’t fitting like they used to.

  • The things that once brought peace now feel heavy.

  • You find yourself trying harder just to hold everything together.

  • Your schedule, your roles, your emotions, just feel like they are getting out of control.

  • You feel like you are holding everything together… plugging the holes in life … but you feel like you can’t keep up.

And in the midst of it all, a thought creeps in:

  •  “You’re failing.”

  • “You’re not enough.”

  •  “Everything is falling apart.”

  • “You’re failing your family.”

  • “There is no way that you will succeed.”

  • “At any moment everything you have could come crashing down.”

What if the cracks weren't meant to be held shut? What if they were meant to open?

This is where I once was. I left a great meeting with my coach with the weight of the world on my shoulders. My life felt like it was crumbling around me. No matter how hard I was pushing back to keep everything together, it felt like a losing battle… and I was running out of steam. Then the negative thoughts flooded into my mind.

Amidst this overwhelming sensation a thought entered my mind. It was like a small sliver of light that soon filled my heart. What if the falling apart, what if the cracks I was trying to hold together, isn’t a sign of collapse? What if the cracks were a sign that I’m growing, that I’m ready for transformation.

As my mind and heart caught hold of this idea, images started to flood in. What felt like a crumbling life became a light trying to escape signifying a newness trying to emerge.

🌱 Cracks Are Where Growth Begins 🌱

The longer I live, and the more I coach, the clearer I’ve come to believe this:

The feeling that your life is cracking may not mean you’re breaking. It might mean that you’re expanding.

Think about it:

  • A seed must crack open for a plant to grow.

  •  Muscles tear to become stronger.

  • A snake sheds its skin when it’s outgrows it.

  • An egg must crack so that a bird can emerge.

  • The bird must fight through the egg to have the strength to survive.

  • A butterfly breaks out from a cocoon.

  • Even bread can’t be made until the grain is crushed.

  • A cloud bursts for rain to fall to feed the ground.

The cracks in life are openings from which growth and abundance emerges.

In every one of these, the “crack” isn’t a problem. It’s the vital part of the transformation process.

What if your life right now is going through the same transformation? What if the cracks that you feel are actually opportunities for growth. Maybe the cracks that you’re feeling aren’t bad… maybe they are good. Maybe they are a necessary step for more growth and more opportunity and for more blessings.

⚖️ The Truth About Our Circumstances ⚖️

One of the most powerful mindset shifts is this:

Circumstances are neutral. It’s our thoughts about the circumstance that give the meaning.

You could look at a crack in your marriage, your finances, your faith, or your confidence and decide:

“This is bad. This means I’m failing.”

Or… You could see the same situation and say:

“This crack is revealing the limit of who I was…so I can grow into who I’m meant to be.”

Nothing changed about the situation. But everything changes when you shift your perspective.

🧠 When You Shift the Thought, You Shift the Feeling 🧠

If I think I’m falling apart, I feel:

·      Overwhelmed

·      Powerless

·      Defeated

But if I shift my thought to, I’m growing through this, I feel:

·      Expanded

·      Energized

·      Hopeful

And guess what? Those feelings lead to entirely different actions. I’ll either retreat and shut down… or I’ll move forward with faith, curiosity, and intentional action.

✨ The Soul’s Quiet Cry for More ✨

The cracks you feel? That tension? That weariness?

It could be your soul’s way of saying, “I’ve outgrown this life. I’m ready for more.”

·      More alignment

·      More purpose

·      More capacity

·      More opportunity

·      More of the person God knows I can become

Sometimes we resist the crack because we fear what’s on the other side. But often, the life we’ve been living is simply too small for the growth God has in store. Our potential is greater than our current state and is ready to expand.

That tension isn’t punishment. It’s preparation.

🙏 The Refining Hand of God 🙏

I’m reminded of one of my favorite passages in the Book of Mormon:

“And if men come unto me, I will show unto them their weakness… then will I make weak things become strong unto them” (Ether 12:27).

Sometimes the “crack” is just God helping us see a weakness…

Not to shame us, but to refine us.

To invite us into partnership with Him.

"Sometimes the crack is the only place the Light can get in."

To help us grow into something far stronger, wiser, and fuller than we were before.

To rise above mediocrity and become closer to our potential.

“Sometimes the crack is the only place the Light can get in.” (Jay Fisher)

Our Heavenly Parents know exactly what we’re capable of. They see the growth that’s possible and lovingly guide us through the process… even when it means letting things crack open.

🔎 Coaching Can Help You Grow Through the Cracks 🔎

In seasons of disruption, we all need space to process and perspective to grow. That’s where coaching becomes powerful.

A Coach helps people to:

·      Reframe what they’re going through

·      Discover what’s possible on the other side

·      Recognize that their emotions are valid, but they don’t have to be limiting

·      Shift focus from fear to faith, from trying to hold it together to allowing growth

·      To shift their paradigm and focus on growth, abundance, and opportunity

Where our focus goes so does our energy. Growth doesn’t have to be lonely. You don’t have to navigate the cracks alone. Let someone walk beside you as you expand.

📝 Reflection + Action 📝

Ask yourself:

·      What area(s) of my life feel like it’s cracking right now?

·      Am I trying to hold it together… when I should be allowing the growth?

·      What lessons might I be poised to learn or refine in myself?

·      What small action could I take today to lean into the growth instead of resisting the change?

🤝 Final Thought + Invitation 🤝

Your life isn’t falling apart. You’re being called to grow, to expand, to rise.

Let the crack be the start of something greater.

And if this message spoke to you, I invite you to:

1.        Share it with someone who might be feeling the same cracking tension. They might need this perspective shift as much as you did.

2.        Reach out if you’re ready to grow through the cracks… not just survive them. Coaching could be the tool that turns your breakdown into your breakthrough.
