One of the battles I face (and I believe we all face) is doubt, insecurity, fear of failure, or the feeling that I’m not good or worth enough. I find myself in a scarcity mindset, which leads to fear, lack of action, and second guessing the promptings and promises from Heaven. Sometimes I am the man who buried his talents instead of doing his best to multiply the talents (Matthew 25:14-30).
I want to share my conviction that we have a God of miracles… a God who is abundant in His power and His ability and desire to bless us abundantly. His greatest joy is being merciful and blessing us more than we imagine and more than we believe we deserve. Jesus declared, “I am come that [we] might have life, and that [we] might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Abundance is not contrary to faith; it is evidence of loving and supportive Heavenly Parents who desire to bless ALL Their children as they move forward with trust.

As Steven Furtick said, “With God there is ALWAYS a way. By faith I WILL
find the way.” This does not mean the way will be easy or immediate. Faith requires action, and action requires effort, and effort requires patience and consistency. The Lord invites and expects us to step forward, to use our gifts, to act, and to tap into Heaven’s power. We act, not because we can see everything clearly, but because we trust that Heaven can – that Jesus can and does. Heaven multiplies our faithful effort. Our willingness is recognized, and we are met with power beyond our own.
The scriptures testify repeatedly that the earth is full, and that God is generous. Jesus Christ declared, “All things are mine… and it must needs be done in mine own way (Doctrine and Covenants 104: 15-16). His way includes growth, stretching, patience, and trust… through which there is always a promise of increase. Paul affirmed this promise when he wrote that God is able to “do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).”
There will be moments of doubt or fear. There will be days when the path forward feels uncertain.

We may go for a period without “seeing blessings.” “Some blessings come soon, some come late… but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come” (Jeffrey Holland, Oct 1999). Faith is not the absence of fear… it is the decision to keep moving forward despite it. Like the Israelites, we can see that God provides as we trust in Him daily.
We can move forward with the belief and trust that the best is yet to come. Good things will come. Our talents matter. Our contributions are needed. We have the full backing of Heavenly Parents and Jesus Christ. The path will unfurl step by step as we trust in the Lord. Remember, They that be with us are more than they that be against us (2 Kings 6:16). God is abundant. The world is abundant. And by faith in Christ, I will find the way, because I will not quit... and neither will He.
Invitation: Take a moment today to reflect on where you need God's guidance and strength. What is one thing you've been pushing off as you battle with doubt, confidence, or insecurity? Write down one step you can take in faith this week? Trust that as you act, God will open the way.
