Walk With Me

This poem I wrote entitled “Walk With Me” is a heartfelt dialogue between a weary soul and Heaven. The first half of the poem expresses the soul’s humble plea for divine companionship through life’s darkest and most difficult paths. It reflects the universal longing for comfort, guidance, and hope when the journey feels lonely.

Christ walks with us
"I walk with you no matter what or far you roam."

I’ve had those yearnings through my own “dark paths,” “desolate deserts,” and “storms of great height.” These images represent my moments of personal struggle, pain, and uncertainty when faith felt distant, and my heart yearned for reassurance and companionship.

In these verses, we plead not just for rescue, but for presence, for companionship… for a cherished walk with Heaven through every trial and temptation. The repetition of “Walk with me” reveals both desperation and devotion, hope and acknowledgement when life’s burdens feel too heavy to bear alone.

The second half of the poem shifts in tone and perspective. Heaven responds… tenderly, powerfully, and faithfully. Heavenly Parents and our Savior Jesus Christ remind us individually that They have always been near, walking alongside each and every child, even when unseen. Their Divine voice is one of eternal constancy: “I walk with you no matter what or far you roam.” It is a reassurance that Their divine love is not conditional upon perfection or proximity, but is ever present, patient, and personal.

As the dialogue unfolds, the poem reveals a sacred truth: the invitation to “Walk with Me” is mutual. Just as we plead for God to walk with us, Heaven continually pleads for us to walk with Them… to trust, to follow, and to align our steps with Their Divine will. It is a reminder that Heavenly Parents and the Savior are in relentless pursuit of each of us. In doing so, we discover that in our most difficult times, They were never absent; Their Light was always guiding, Their hands always steadying and outreached, and Their love is always near… no matter what.

We are invited to walk with Jesus.
Christ invites us to walk with Him, His love is always near... no matter what.

Ultimately, “Walk with Me” reminds us that walking with Jesus and our Heavenly Parents transforms how we experience life’s challenges. Trials remain, but we no longer face them alone.

Through companionship with the Savior, our paths…though steep or shadowed… become illuminated with peace, strength, hope, and purpose. It is a poem of petition and promise, of a mortal yearning met by Divine assurance… a reminder that when we walk with Heaven, we find Heavenly Parents and a Savior who have been walking with us all along.

Walk With Me

Walk with me, my heart calls, please come and walk with me.

Please walk with me on my dark paths and dreary nights,

Through my desolate deserts, in storms of great height.

Please walk with me in the battles I daily fight,

In mists of darkness, I seek thy grace thy Light.

Walk with me as my heart grow hard and my eyes are blind to see,

When steps astray I go and paths unknown I trod,

Walk with me, help me see, help me find in Thee sweet release.

From bonds and wounds, healing comes from a loving God.

Walk with me in trials and grief, in my strife and pain,

Alone, afraid, ashamed, in deep despair I hide.

Walk with me when needed most, to your Light I strain.

Thy comfort give, in your love I long to abide.

Walk with Me

My child, I walk with you, I hear your anguished cries.

My promises sure, I keep them always for you.

My feet and power reach deep… wherever you lie.

I walk with you, your needs forever in my view.

Walk with me today, through trials and storms so fierce,

My perfect Light, shining bright, shall lead you back home.

Your heart, I hold forever close in hands once pierced.

I walk with you no matter what or far you roam.

Walk with Me, my footsteps will carefully guide,

In darkness and in tears, through all your deepest fears.

Walk with me along this path… In love side by side.

I am with you; my voice calls out to you sincere.

Walk with Me I plead, together we will be,

My light illuminates our path, before our feet.

Press forward my child, together I walk with thee.

Walk with Me, your trials together we’ll defeat.

My child, feel my heart plead… come and walk with Me.

"Walk With Me" is a sacred dialogue with Heaven... a plea for Divine companionship in every moment of life... especially in our hardest. The inner plea is answered by the gentle assurance that our Heavenly Parents and our Savior have never left our side. It reminds us that even in darkness, sorrow, distress, and storms of life, They walk with us, guide us, and invite us to walk with Them. When we choose to walk with Heaven, life's burdens become lighter, our steps more sure, and our hearts fill with a greater measure of peace.

Invitation: Take a moment to pause and ask yourself... Am I walking with Heaven, or trying to walk alone? Invite the Savior into your daily journey. Pray, listen, and take one small step to walk with Him. You'll find He's never left your side. He just wants companionship with you.
