In the Darkest of Darkness - Jesus Comes
In the darkest of darkness where fear and storms tread,
When hearts feel heavy, and hope has fled.
There stands a Savior, arms outstretched wide,
His gentle call to "Come unto Me" goes out to those who cry.
Sometimes we find ourselves lost in a stormy night,
Our eyes looking away from His safety-from His guiding Light.
Yet, He watches over and gathers, always close to the weary and worn,
In the gentle love of His embrace, healing is found, hope is reborn.
"Return to Me" He softly and earnestly pleads,
"For in your pain, I know your needs."
Our Savior heals, He strengthens, our Savior brings peace,
For He is always nearby, His love never does cease.
Jesus is close and waiting; "How oft have I sought to gather you near,
To shield you in love, to protect, and to banish your fear.
Great blessings await, poured forth from above,
You are my treasure, please feel my never-ending love."
Yet, we must choose to open our ears,
To listen for His whispers and to reach to Him beyond our fears.
To lift our gaze to heaven's bright dome,
And gather beneath His wings - There we find we are truly home.
Imagine Him patiently waiting, His heart full of grace,
Inviting the broken, lost, or hurt to find in Jesus a home, their place.
While hesitant and hurting, as we step forward, to us does He meet,
He draws us in, in His embrace, all burdens and sorrows retreat.
With arms wrapped tight, He holds us near,
My breath taken away by His love so clear.
The lame and the blind, the lost and the meek,
In His presence, we're all cherished, we're the one that He continually seeks.
He heals our hearts with compassion profound,
In His mercy and love our solace is found.
"Bring others to me," He whispers with care
Over every soul, He prays, He longs for His love to share.
This is the Jesus I know and adore,
The Savior of all, comes to us, His arms outstretched forever more.
May we find Him, His love, strength, in His pure embrace,
Jesus, our light in our darkest of darkness, Jesus is our saving grace.
